Villa North Star

Villa North Star is a one-bedroom house with a stone-clad façade, set among olive groves on the hillside north of Kalkan. With a capacity of two, it is aimed at couples and honeymoon stays.

Its defining feature is the indoor pool: finished in deep-blue mosaic, it sits within a volume glazed on all four sides. As you swim you look out over olive trees, the slopes opposite and, in the distance, Kalkan bay — and the pool can be used whatever the weather.

Location and Views

The villa stands on a plot ringed by olive trees and cypresses on the hillside north of Kalkan centre; the bay and the peninsula opposite are visible from the terrace and the rooms. Kalkan town centre is 5.5 km away, the bus terminal 3 km and the beach 6.6 km. The nearest restaurant is 1 km away, a supermarket 2 km, and the pharmacy and health centre 6 km. Dalaman Airport is 125 km and Antalya Airport 210 km away. A car is recommended for reaching the centre and the beach.

Bedroom

The villa has one bedroom and one bathroom; the room is air-conditioned.

Bedroom — Wide double bed, television and sliding glass doors onto the garden. At one end of the room a jacuzzi bath sits on a timber platform, with a sea view through the window beside it. The adjoining bathroom has a glass shower cubicle and marble finishes.

Pool and Garden

The indoor pool measures 7 x 3 metres, is 1.40 metres deep and is finished in deep-blue mosaic. The volume that holds it is framed by stone walls and wide glazing, and the pool is also visible from inside the house.

The garden is planted with olive trees, cypresses and bougainvillea. It holds sun loungers with blue cushions, a dining table for four, a parasol and two wicker hanging chairs. A barbecue stands in a separate corner against the stone wall. A glazed section of veranda holds a small breakfast table facing the view.

Kitchen and Lounge

Lounge, kitchen and dining area share one volume; floor-to-ceiling glazing carries the view indoors. The lounge has a grey corner sofa, an ottoman and a television. The white-fronted kitchen is equipped with a fridge, built-in oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and electric kettle. The dining table seats four.

Points to Note

• The villa sleeps 2; additional guests cannot be accommodated.

• There is no outdoor pool; the pool is inside an enclosed volume.

• The villa sits outside the centre: 2 km to a supermarket and 5.5 km to the centre, so a car is recommended.

• The villa has two floors connected by stairs and may not suit guests with limited mobility.

• A damage deposit of 7,500 TL is collected on arrival and refunded after checks on departure.

• For stays shorter than 6 nights a cleaning fee of 5,000 TL applies.
